The reliability and service life of wind power spindle forging are the key factors for the long-term safe operation of wind power generating units. The following will be introduced in detail from the two aspects of reliability assessment and service life prediction.
- Reliability assessment:
Reliability evaluation is the process of evaluating the failure probability and failure probability of wind power spindle forging under specific working environment. By considering many factors such as material fatigue, corrosion, stress concentration and load variation, the reliability index of spindle forging can be determined.
(1) Evaluation of material characteristics: The material used in the spindle forging must have sufficient strength, toughness and fatigue resistance. Through the experimental and numerical simulation analysis of the material, the mechanical property parameters are evaluated, and the reliability evaluation results of the material are obtained by combining them with the working conditions of the spindle forging.
(2) Finite element analysis: The finite element analysis software is used to establish the model of the spindle forging, and the simulation analysis is carried out under different loading conditions. By analyzing the stress, deformation and fatigue life of spindle forgings, the reliability evaluation results of spindle forgings are obtained. This method can simulate the stress distribution and deformation of spindle forgings under actual working conditions and provide an important basis for reliability evaluation.
- Service life prediction:
Service life prediction is a process of predicting the service life of spindle forgings in a certain period of time according to their fatigue performance under specific load and environmental conditions.
(1) Fatigue characteristics analysis: Through the study of fatigue fracture behavior of spindle forging, the fatigue crack propagation rule and life characteristics are analyzed. Through experiments and numerical calculations, the fatigue life curve of spindle forgings is established to predict its service life under actual working conditions.
(2) Stress concentration analysis: Due to the phenomenon of stress concentration in the operation of the spindle forging, it will lead to the formation and expansion of cracks, and ultimately affect the life of the spindle forging. Through finite element analysis and stress concentration coefficient calculation, the stress concentration area inside the spindle forging is found out, and the further analysis and prediction are made.
It should be noted that reliability assessment and service life prediction are interrelated, and the reliability assessment of spindle forging can provide an important basis for service life prediction. At the same time, the environmental conditions and working loads of different wind farms will also have an impact on the reliability and service life of the spindle forgings, so these factors need to be considered comprehensively in practical applications to evaluate and forecast.
