The special treatment process of hardware forgings is usually divided into the following three aspects:
Surface treatment: After the metal forgings are forged, there may be some defects, burrs, oxidation and other conditions on the surface, and surface treatment is required. Common surface treatment methods include chemical treatment, electroplating, spraying and so on. Among them, electroplating technology can form a protective film on the surface of metal forgings to prevent rust and wear of forgings.
Heat treatment: Metal forgings in the manufacturing process, in order to improve its strength and hardness and other properties, need to be heat treated. Heat treatment can be divided into normal temperature annealing, normalizing, quenching, tempering and other types, different heat treatment methods should be selected and controlled according to the specific forging material, structure, use and other requirements, in order to achieve the best effect. Common heat treatment equipment includes large furnaces, quenching tanks, heating furnaces, welding heaters, etc.
Precision machining: After the initial forming of metal forgings, it is necessary to carry out precision machining, which is very important for the performance relationship of metal forgings. Commonly used precision machining methods are CNC machining, grinding processing, etching processing, etc. CNC machining can control the processing of hardware forgings through computer programs, so as to achieve automatic operation and improve accuracy and efficiency.
The selection and control of these special processing processes need to be comprehensively analyzed according to the material, structure, performance and other characteristics of the specific metal forgings, and the appropriate process methods and equipment are selected to achieve the expected processing effect.
